Want to try your hand at crowdfunding your creative project through Kickstarter or Indiegogo? Well, I won’t sugarcoat this: it is challenging–but it’s also doable (I made 106% of my goal on my first try)–especially if someone can help you out with a little info.
To that end, I’ve put together a brief ebook and audiobook, Kickstarter Success Secrets (2012, Caroline Street Press) available on Amazon.com and Audible.com. It reached #19 on the Kindle Store bestseller lists on the first day of release in the Shopping & Commerce category and has reached #1 and continued to chart since.
It’s not a comprehensive, detailed “how-to” book, but it does give some good information about what I think I did right and wrong–and what I would do differently if I were to try again.
So, if you want a no-frills, inexpensive look at what goes into a successful Kickstarter campaign, I hope you’ll give it a read or a listen!
