Modern folk music explosion is a new concept from New York City based singer-songwriter Dan Coyle. Coyle brings his show to Kansas City on December 7th at Czar Bar in Kansas City. Doors open at 9 p.m., with a 9:30 p.m. show time.

“Modern folk music explosion is an idea that I had to help bring folk music into the spotlight in its current incarnation. The music I’m talking about is a little quirky with a splash of pop, but also includes your more traditional storytelling and love ballads,” Coyle explained.

Coyle will also play dates in Warrensburg and Lawrence while he’s in the area. His full tour schedule can be found at his website http://dancoyle.com.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing Kansas City, from the two years I did Riverfest, to my CD release at the Record Bar, and to my last performance at Czar Bar. The people are so supportive and friendly; I was excited when Czar Bar invited me back to headline,” added Coyle.

Local support for the night will be provided by John Keck and Dane Davenport. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased on Czar Bar’s website http://www.czarkc.com/event/377967-dan-coyle-kansas-city/.

Fans who visit Coyle’s Shows page on his website will find a link to get a free “tour bundle.” All they have to do is fill out a simple form and pick up their bundle at the show.

“The tour bundles are a way for me to put some unique, limited edition merchandise in the hands of people who come out to the shows. They can choose from three gifts, and theer are photos of each on my website,” said Coyle.

Czar Bar is located at 1531 Grand Blvd. Kansas City, MO, 64108 and their phone number is (816) 421-0300.
