Make Your Marketing Event Memorable

Marketing events are opportunities to make a lasting impression. Whether you’re organizing an invite-only sales conference, holding a launch party or hosting a stall at a trade fair, these marketing methods can help to make your company stand out and generate the leads you’re after.
Avoid boring venues
When it comes to conferences and launch parties, don’t just opt for an everyday conference room or lecture hall. Consider venues that are unique so that people remember your event. Rent out a room in a historic building or host an outdoor venue under a marquee. You could also consider reserving part of a restaurant or pub so that your guests can have a meal and drinks. A hotel meanwhile could allow guests somewhere to stay for the night if they are traveling a long distance to be there.
Use exciting tech
Using the latest tech will show people that you’re a cutting-edge business, as well as appealing to people’s love of gadgets. At trade shows, consider hiring digital signage or getting people to fill out competitions on a tablet or displaying demo videos on big screens. At a conference, consider hiring a digital Twitter wall and getting people to ask questions via Twitter during the conference. It doesn’t matter if it’s gimmicky – so long as you’re using this technology for business purposes, people will be intrigued.
Feed people’s interests
Offering food and drink can also help to make an impact at a marketing event. At a conference, this could be something as simple as tea and biscuits or something as lavish as champagne and canapes. If it’s a long event, you may want to provide lunch by hiring a catering service or hosting the event at a venue that serves food and drink. A launch party, in particular, will require lots of food and drink. You could even bring a bowl of sweets to a trade fair for people to pick at as a way of luring people in.
Give out branded goodies
Giving out branded items can help you to leave a physical reminder of your company. If you’re organizing a seminar, you could consider giving out branded pens to everyone and doing a little quiz. If you’re at a trade fair, consider toys that people might play with there and then, attracting attention to your brand. These could include branded yo-yos and stress balls or baseball caps. You could even give out goodies in a branded bag. There are lots of screen printing companies that can create these branded items for you. Don’t forget to hand out flyers and business cards too for more informational purposes.
Make it interactive
Getting people to interact at your marketing event is also important. If you’re hosting a conference and promoting a product, consider letting people test out the product for themselves. If you’re at a trade fair, consider hosting competitions or quizzes that will draw people in. Encourage questions and make people feel as if they’re getting something out of the event rather than being lectured to.
