LinkedIn Makes Changes to Groups

Changes afoot from LinkedIn:

We wanted to let you know that we’re making some changes to Groups to help Group owners and moderators build great communities. Here are the highlights of what to expect in the next few weeks:

We’re removing the cover image from forums to make it easier to read discussions.

Managers will now pick just one Manager’s Choice post so it’s easier to focus on what’s important. The post will be pinned at the top of members’ feeds, and you can set a new Manager’s Choice any time

To keep discussions on-topic, all groups will now automatically filter Job and Promotion posts. Also, when members flag a post as inappropriate, it will be removed more quickly.

We’re discontinuing Top Contributors to encourage more participation from all group members.

You’ll also see a simplified design.Looking for your settings? They’re now behind the gear icon in the upper right. You can also find the group’s latest activity in your Search tab.For tips on how to get the most out of Groups, including details on these changes, check out the updated Help Center.
