The Final Font-ier

Sure, what you write is critical to the success of your business because your copy is your secret weapon when it comes to Google, but you can always hire an SEO consultant to help you through that. What is just as important is the typeface you use, and how you pair the font you use for your headings with the subtitles and body text. All of these need to be simple and effective, so stick to simple collections when putting them together.

Time To Up Scale

You can apply scale to a lot of elements to add that extra bit of ooomph; type, images, shapes, anything. It is called proportionate emphasis. What you need to take into consideration, though, is the use of color alterations, what looks good when in increased, and what font really hits the nail on the head of what you want to get across.

Clarity Is In Demand

Using text as an overlay on an image has long been used an effective means of garnering attention and using space effectively. It also a great way of making the audience feel exactly what you want them to feel. However, a lot of the time, text on an image doesn’t come out as clear as you want. As such, adjust the brightness to up the contrast so that it offsets the text, allowing you to use any color you want and be able to create the desired cut-out effect.

Order Of The Phoenix

It is important to create an aura of order with your design and that can be done with simple methods of alignment. For example, if you have a small block of text against a block-color background, by simply applying a line to the left of the text you are creating a sort of margin line that will act as an anchor for your text.

We All Obey The Hierarchy

As with everything, there is a hierarchy to consider with your design efforts. So, as a general rule of thumb, the most important part of what you are trying to say should always be the most dominant visual of your design. This can be easily achieved with color and/or scale as both of these can work to grab the attention of the viewer and change the order of the hierarchy.
